I made this watercolor skull using Arches watercolor 140lb cold-pressed paper. I started off with a good sketch of my skull. The colors I used were indigo, bright violet, marine blue, cobalt blue, phthalo blue yellow shade, and neutral tint.
I love the black velvet series brushes! They are a mixture of natural and synthetic fibers and hold a lot of water. THey have a soft snap to them and a fine point that makes painting a true joy.
